MISAME-3

The MISAME-III (MIcronutriments pour la SAnté de la Mère et de l’Enfant) research project aims to study the efficacy of a fortified balanced energy protein (BEP) supplement for pregnant and lactating women to improve birth weight, fetal and infant growth in rural Burkina Faso.

MISAME-III started in 2018 and includes two phases: (1) a formative study to evaluate short- and long term acceptability and (2) a randomized controlled trial on the effect of BEP supplements. Click here for a more detailed project description
